For example, if I have a userA+userB setup, where I generally avoid logging into userB when in userA and vice versa, it would be nice to use private space to login to userB from userA in the private space, but it'd also be nice to be able to setup private space with userA when I'm logged into userB.

Google, could do you a thing where, when we create a second user on our pixel phone, can you let us do the data transfer thing just like we can with our default user? I, along with others use the multiple users function as a data segregated profile but it'd help to set our phones up faster if both of our user setups could have the ability to do the initial data transfer / restoration thing, not just the main user. Thank you

draft - Google, can we please get 8 users for the multiple users + private space functionality on pixel? I had four users set up, so that's why the android 15 beta 3 wasn't allowing me to do private space, I think. When I deleted a user, that's when private space setting seemed to show up. So I made a private space. And guess what, that counts as a user.

When I went back to the multiple users settings, it said I had reached the max users.

Which is kinda sad. So, google, could you please increase users to 8 so that each user can enable private space?

draft - I'd also like the dual camera function that Samsung camera used to have where the photographer could activate *both* cameras when taking photos and videos to include the subjects *and* themselves in the photographs

Alternatively, one thing I'd like to see on Samsung phones would be multiple profiles, multiple user profiles, multiple users, whatever you wanna call it, you know what I'm talking about. It's built into stock android and works really well. I like to use *both* multiple users *and* private space. So that way, when I'm using userB, I can login to userA apps without having to worry about potential cross-account data leakage via Google apps etc, like google photos and such.

draft - i'm downloading the android 15 beta 3 onto my pixel 8 and my pixel 6a. looking forward to trying out private space. i kinda wanna go back to google chat, but i have been doing microsoft teams, partly because i have a multiple users setup and so, when i log into one user, i avoid logging into another user to avoid cross account data leakage, so private space should help to alleviate the issue where, when i'm logged into the userB, i can use private space to access google services from userA, while still staying in the userB space, keeping the data between the users separate.

Guys calm down. i'm not talking about multiple people. when i say multiple users i'm talking about using for one person. which is weird, maybe they need to rename it or something. to better market it's functionality because yes, while on like a tablet and such calling it multiple users makes more sense, for a tablet but also on a phone, maybe they should just call it like "spaces" or "separated spaces" or "separate spaces" to convey that, one single user may want to use the functionality "separated spaces" whereby it would do everything that multiple users does, but just call it / brand it a little different so that individual users will take notice more. ya gotta sell it a bit so that its used so that people appreciate it right?

i want an apple watch.

draft - Ok, I got that when I first set up this phone (pixel 8 from pixel 6a).

Now my question is, I enabled multiple users in settings. I want the same ability when setting up another user that occured when I set up the default first user, in terms of being able to copy data over so I don't have to manually download apps one by one and sign into google accounts one by one. Is there a setting I can go to to do that?

draft - multiple user profiles on a mobile OS is an important part of privacy/security. however, i think it could use fine tuning/polishing. maybe even the apple styled tuning. if apple applied multiple user profiles to iOS18, how would you like to see them do it? similar to stock android or different in some way?

@dredmorbius that's one of the reasons my most recent phone was the #Xiaomi #MiA1 (which essentially is the #Mi5X with #StockAndroid).

Since it is an #AndroidOne device, it came with the promise of frequent OTA updates till at least #Android9 (Pie), even though it was released with #Android7 (Nougat).

It likely won't see an official update to #Android10 (Q), but Xiaomi devices are generally well-supported in the ROM community.
