🌑 Moon: only 4% illuminated - dark skies tonight, great for stargazing.Bottom line: step outside after dark, let your eyes adjust for 5-10 minutes, and you'll see all of this with no equipment required.

#stlwx only knocked out "half" of our power. Apparently there are two phases of a breaker box, and the transformer out on the utility pole helps regulate that? Very interesting that some areas of the house work fine, while others don't.
Would be interested if there are any #electricity / #electric / #power experts out there that could help make sense of this!

The Northern Lights I saw just now in my urban neighborhood (Ferguson, Mo.) were every bit as good as what we saw earlier this year when we drove three hours north to rural La Belle, Mo., for the aurora in May.
