Pendler frühstücken im Stehen, einige Schulkinder drängen schwer mit Taschen bepackt durch die Enge, um gegen Kleingeld Pfannenkuchen zu erhalten und dann wieder hin zur Straße zu verschwinden, plappernd und mit Zucker an den Händen. Lauter Krähenschwarm, anfahrende Baustelle, verhaltenes Sonnenlicht am Horizont, Hochhäuser als dunkle Schemen vor Pastellhimmel. Fast angekommen.)

Running late again. A brief look up and out of the focus tunnel. Trying to tell hour of day from the lines the shadows draw on the outer concrete. No clues found. But the sound of kids laughing, giggling, playing in the office backyard; the unbroken fascination of water. Using a one-liner to extract current time from logfiles, clumsy and rough but getting the job done. Closing in on 4pm. Dizzy. And still heading on.

4pm and on. Discussing usability woes, digging a bit deeper to encounter a solid layer of technical issues that should have remained unseen. Temperature getting into way of clear thinking. A broken link a starting airplane a dove on the railing trying to peek through the windowblinds. And so many fragments to put together.

8am and a bit on, still not advanced much beyond breakfast. That odd mood, torn between not wanting to do much at all and not wanting to waste precious hours by doing nothing. Thin hints of sun above dense clouds.
