Interview Spiegel mit Joseph #Stiglitz: „#Trump hat den Gipfel seiner Macht überschritten.“ Den hatte Hitler 1940 auch überschritten, aber das hieß nicht, dass es Deutschland in den folgenden Jahren besser gegangen wäre. Im Gegenteil: Gerade wenn destruktive Autoritäre die Macht und die Kontrolle verlieren, fangen sie an, alles in ihrer Umgebung zu zerstören (s.a. „Logik des Misslingens“ v Dörner). Wenn Trump nicht bald innerhalb der USA gestoppt wird, wird es für die ganze Welt hässlich werden.

Okay, #Oxfam, bzw. Joseph #Stiglitz schaffen hier mit dem Begriff »Notstand der Ungleichheit« wenigstens mal sprachliche Klarheit. Danke dafür!
Aber jetzt bitte mal kurz aufhören zu hyperventilieren und nachdenken: #Merz und die ganzen anderen Tunichtgute an der Spitze von #Union und #sPD gehören ausnahmslos zu den Profiteuren der Ungleichheit. Sie haben die Mittel in der Hand, alle Initiativen gegen Ungleichheit, oder andere progressive Veränderungen entweder ins Leere laufen zu lassen, oder mit Gewalt zu unterbinden (s: G20-Gipfel, Lützerath, Umgang mit der Letzten Generation, …). Wie wahrscheinlich ist es also, dass Appelle ausgerechnet an die, zum Erfolg führen? Wer nicht spekulieren mag: Wie oft haben in der Vergangenheit Appelle an die Täter dazu geführt, Unrecht zu beenden?
Was hingegen funktioniert ist, denen die Zutat zu entziehen, auf die sie zwingend angewiesen sind, und die sie keinesfalls selbst erbringen wollen oder können - Arbeit!
Das kann vom Bummelstreik, über strategische Krankmeldungen bis hin zum full-blown #Generalstreik alles sein. Wichtig ist, zu verstehen, dass sie nur Zugeständnisse machen werden, wenn es für sie das geringere Übel ist, sie also anderenfalls alles verlieren.

I dont understand. Not paying real wages is an important central mechanism and example of how the financial aneurysm of billionaires are formed.
Coercive monopolies is another, monopsony another, offshoring income to avoid taxes, polluting without paying, taking pensions, pump and dump.
Billionaires are the cash pimples in a dirty system of theft.
Billionaires are not wealthy dentists, they are malfunctions of cash movement through crime.

@lauteshirn Joseph #Stiglitz hat doch von Wirtschafrt keine Ahnung. Das kann man schon an seinem #Nobelpreis dafür erkennen, denn um den zu bekommen muss er ja Wissenschaftler sein. Und #Trumnp hat oft genug kund getan, dass er nicht an Wissenschaft glaubt. Vermutlich glaubt er auch nicht an Mathematik. Nur so kann man viele seiner Aussagen erklären.
Und die #AfD als Verein der Gläubigen von MAGA tickt da nicht anders./Sarkasmus off

Joseph #Stiglitz is pretty much the best example of Center Left thought - together with Piketty a bit more to the left. These guys write very well but, unfortunately, they ignore the constraints inherent to the economic system, namely the debt ceiling, the cyclical crises, waste in production, etc.
