#STI2024 people may be interested in a recent price dataset by a colleague at Iowa State.
He and a co-author used public records requests to get the prices paid for SciFinder, Web of Science, and Scopus by 45 US research libraries from 2018-2024.

Had a great time at #STI2024 in Berlin last week!
Met people from Zoom calls in-person for the first time. Talked about causal inference, the APC dataset and analysis, new research ideas.
The two adjoining venues were very nice. The daily walk from my hotel was gorgous. Weather was ideal. I felt perfectly safe in Berlin at all times.
Saw the sights. Had dinner with dinosaurs. Rode the U-Bahn, trains, and bus. Had a kebap, bratwurst, pretzel, and beer.
Now home and digging through emails.

Great discussions about open research information at the #STI2024 conference, with strong engagement from conference participants.
In yesterday's special session @MsPhelps discussed how universities can contribute to advancing openness of research information. Universities are making major investments in research information, but too often they fail to think strategically about ways to use these investments to promote openness.

Hi @LudoWaltman and others at #STI2024! You may not have a spare minute, but I think you'll be interested in these two new preprints (about preprints). https://mastodon.social/@juancommander/113159400280170066

At the #STI2024 conference this week, along with a pretty big contingent from the #scholcommlab. I don't come to bibliometrics conferences very often, but I'm excited to get to spend time with all these folks!

At the #sti2024 conference in Berlin, @MsPhelps and I will today present our poster on new data and code for customised research evaluation. We feel that various forms of customisation may be a partial answer to the question of how to assess research in a context of requirements regarding openness and renewed recognition and rewards as agreed on in a.o. #COARA. Happy to discuss. Open licensed available here: https://zenodo.org/doi/10.5281/zenodo.13311429
