A rare, working 1976 Apple I computer built with 8KB of RAM and a MOS Technology 6502 microprocessor, signed by Steve Wozniak, has sold at a Bonhams auction for a record $1,148,200.
Recognized as one of only 74 verified Apple I models left, the machine came bundled with original manuals, a custom power supply, monitor, keyboards, and a letter from Steve Jobs encouraging an upgrade to the Apple II.
