A six-year-old girl's vision has improved significantly after a one-off gene therapy treatment. This is the first time this therapy has been used on such a young child for this condition.

Just seen the first butterfly this year was red with speckled brown - ran round the garden trying to catch it as it stopped briefly then managed to miss the shot!! -still was great to see it, got a squirrel tho -and the weather is fab this morning - first sound of lawnmowers starting up and cut grass #BringitOn #Stevenage

Shout out to the kids at #Barnwell school #Stevenage that helped my grown up son who fell off his bike on the way to work yesterday. All was ok in the end and the kids retrieved the mudguards that fell off. Good job!!

@secretbatcave @Mina @madhu_shrieks #privateeye and #TheEconomist along with the FT seem to be the only ones with the stories- no current event stream -ie no pics from the Notting hill carnival etc and little local reporting on local issues. The cutting of local radio a big problem. #TheComet for #Stevenage is well written but not clear what its future is . Cant hold powers to account if you dont know whats going on - a threat to democracy.

After vacating the house for the terns their after-party was at a loss what to do for the eve - went to #Stevenage Old Town. As an older person often seems nowhere to go to dance thats not a xmas do or wedding- Here would recommend the #RedLion pub had a fab live band last night -audience approx 25 to 85- no dress code -one guy dressed as the assassins creed guy but you could have come in pyjamas and not really look out of place. Then on to the #DrapersArms for some upbeat line dance moves.
