The pseudo-science of eugenics validating racial hierarchy, gender, sexuality, and their influence on the socioeconomics and politics still deeply ingrained across Europe and European colonial cultures.Here in the US this system of belief is actively promoted and defended by law, custom, and commercial interests.. With powerful groups right now actively seeking to ban books, teaching of its history, or how the system still exists and functions.
One example of many, is an estimated 20,000 forced #sterilizations, mostly of BIPOC in #California (by reputation America's most socially progressive state), between 1909 and 1979 when its #Eugenics program officially ended; however, that number may be an underestimation.
Destroying people, places, and things takes far less energy and time than it does to build or repair; and before we build or repair, we require an honest appraisal of the facts.
So the problem is nobody can fix a problem they deny even exists.
