Not my birthday today. I found this unusual little crab spider on my birthday last year. This is the 6th of the species I have found. But we don't know what the species is. Spider Joe and iNaturalist can only say it is Genus Bucranium. Grass Spider - Genus Agelenopsis - #Arachtober 2nd
Funnel Weavers are a nocturnal family of spiders that resemble Wolf Spiders, but they live in funnel-shaped webs. Their webs aren't sticky, but they are full of velcro like entangling filaments and they react quickly when they feel the vibration of prey. Found in South Texas, USA. -

Burrowing Wolf Spider. Same spider that was very popular with my Arachtober 21st post, shortly before I started posting stereo images. I was excited to see such a pretty face. I kept waiting for it to come back out to get an ID shot, but this one is far cuter. The third time I went to look, I couldn't find the hole again so I had to give up. This was at a park I had never been to at night due to the long drive. Looks a lot like Geolycosa riograndae, but species in that area aren't well documented so can't say with such little visible in the photos I got.

Southern Bolas Spider with a moth
(Mastophora cornigera)Spiders in this genus are extremely well camouflaged like bird droppings. Not many things want to eat bird poop. She is an orbweaver, but she doesn't make a traditional web. Instead she dangles a strand of web with an extra sticky blob on the end which she uses like a bolas. She also emits moth like pheromones to attract male moths to get them in range.

So @krooshof made an awesome looking hand-crafted brass and wood 3D camera!
I'm not even remotely skilled in this craft, but I had two #ESP32cam boards, one breadboard and one 16-color-image firmware, and two days left on the #ShittyCameraChallenge
Unfortunately, the 3D effect doesn't really work in GBC resolution, so here are squeezed 2x 320x200 EGA #stereography pictures, taken on two loosely synchronized ESPs to two microSD cards. The dithering gives them a bit of a #MagicEye feeling 😎
