Gustavo Salvatori afirmó que MetLife México rechazó cubrir los gastos de una hospitalización por una emergencia cardiovascular, pese a que su póliza fue activada y el tratamiento transcurrió sin objeciones durante su estancia médica.

Gustavo Salvatori denunció públicamente que MetLife México rechazó cubrir los gastos médicos derivados de una emergencia cardiovascular que sufrió el pasado 23 de junio, situación que, aseguró, lo dejó con una deuda hospitalaria superior a un millón de pesos.
A través de una publicación difundida en la red social X, el empresario relató que, tras presentar síntomas de una emergencia cardíaca, activó su póliza de gastos médicos mayores y fue ingresado de urgencia a un hospital, donde le practicaron un cateterismo y le colocaron dos stents medicados.

Según su testimonio, permaneció dos días en terapia intensiva y posteriormente continuó hospitalizado, sin que durante ese periodo la aseguradora manifestara objeción alguna respecto a la cobertura del tratamiento.
Asegura que la negativa ocurrió al momento del alta
Salvatori señaló que cuando estaba por recibir el alta médica fue notificado telefónicamente de que MetLife México había rechazado el pago de la atención hospitalaria.
De acuerdo con su versión, personal de la aseguradora le indicó que resolviera la situación «como pudiera», pese a que aseguró haber mantenido vigente durante varios años un seguro colectivo contratado para su empresa.
Sala quirirgica, medicos,El empresario afirmó que la decisión lo obligó a enfrentar una deuda hospitalaria superior al millón de pesos.
Llama a revisar las condiciones de los seguros
En su publicación, Salvatori aclaró que su intención no es influir directamente en la decisión de quienes buscan contratar un seguro de gastos médicos mayores, sino invitar a los usuarios a revisar cuidadosamente las condiciones de las pólizas antes de firmar un contrato.
Entre sus recomendaciones pidió leer cada cláusula, solicitar que las condiciones queden por escrito y verificar el alcance real de la cobertura para conocer la protección que ofrece la aseguradora en caso de una emergencia médica.
MetLife no ha emitido un posicionamiento
Hasta el momento de la publicación de esta nota, MetLife México no ha emitido un posicionamiento público sobre el caso expuesto por Gustavo Salvatori.

Bin Mitte 40 habe zwei #Stents im Herzen, mein Vater ist viel zu früh an #Herz gestorben und ich schaffe es nicht abzunehmen um lange und gesund für meine Liebsten da zu sein! Schäme mich! My #mom is in the #hospital here in #Florida since Thursday. She had a series of #nonstemi #heartattacks at the end of last week. After doing some #tests and sending her into the #cathlab to check her #stents they found that her #veins are narrowing as she ages #restricting the #blood and #oxygen flow to her heart. Luckily this can be controlled by #medication and once they regulate her dosage she will be released hopefully Monday, Tuesday latest.
