Remember when #Phlox fed a #Tribble to one of his critters? xD
I'd forgotten about it 😅
#STEnterprise #StarTrek -
CW: Star Trek: Enterprise S2E9 "Singularity", production error nitpicking
Even in the time of #StarTrek #Enterprise, there clearly is still a place for proof readers, since their proof reading software apparently hasn't picked up the typo of "own" as "won" in the last paragraph.
I assume that whoever wrote the biography, must've written it manually still, contrary to Jonathan Archer, who was later in the episode seen as dictating his preface for the book to the computer's text to speech engine, since I can't see how TTS software could interpret "own" as "won".

CW: Things on Star Trek: Enterprise I didn't need to see
#Phlox trimming his toenails...
(and then feeding them to one of his animals...)
🤢 -
CW: Star Trek: Enterprise, S4E3 ("Home")
It's interesting how they started performing the Vulcan marriage ceremony in English (or Galactic Basic Standard, though I'm not sure that was a thing already at that point in time), just because Tucker was present.
-
CW: StarTrek: Enterprise (S3E19, "Damage"), and Strange New World (Una) related
Huh, never realised that the captain whose ship Archer decided to steal their warp coil from in #STEnterprise, was #Illyrian; the same species as #StrangeNewWorlds' #UnaChinRiley belongs to.

That was an interesting interview with #ToddStashwick on the #ShuttlepodShow #podcast.
Spoilers for #StarTrekPicard, so beware: https://youtu.be/HluyD55mdZc -
I feel #STEnterprise is unfairly slept on.
It had some absolutely brilliant one-off eps, arcs AND a whole dollop of Vulcan lore. What's not to love?

Just watched the first episode of the #ShuttlepodShow #podcast with #StarTrek #Enterprise actor #JohnBillingsley. When I saw the opening showing the two presenters, I first thought: "Who are these two guys? Can't say I've seen them before..."
But then I heard them speak, and then realised they were the actors who played #TripTucker and #MalcolmReed, also on #STEnterprise, #ConnorTrinneer and #DominicKeating. -

All: ★★★☆☆

S2Ep21 is more forgiveness: allegorical WWII atrocities.
All/ ★★★★☆
-
Two solid episodes of #STEnterprise.
In S2Ep17 Archer & Tucker are arrested and need to be rescued. Excellent stuff here.
S2Ep18 involves non-corporeal beings possessing the crew. ST:TOS’s “Amok Time” but better.
Both: ★★★★☆
-
#STEnterprise continues with solid work.
S2Ep14 parallels early-epidemic AIDS, as well as Polyamory.
S2Ep15 has Archer negotiating the Golan Heights.
S2Ep15 sees Enterprise examining a T.A.R.D.I.S.
★★★☆☆
-
#STEnterprise has a slight improvement.
S2Ep11 is “The African Queen” in space.
S2Ep12 has everyone hiding from a storm.
S2Ep13 reminds me of an episode of ST:TOS, but I can’t think of which one.
Most of them: ★★★★☆
-
Three #STEnterprise episodes of meagre quality.

-
#STEnterprise delivers uneven episodes.
S1Ep25 has disappointing stories without conclusions.
S1Ep26 / S2Ep01 combines “It’s A Wonderful Life” and “The Great Escape” with time travel elements. Great action sequences.
Average of ★★★★☆
-
Two episodes of #STEnterprise where humans are Very Noble Indeed.
S1Ep23 involves a Vulcan Ambassador accused of criminal activity.

★★★☆☆
-
#STEnterprise bounces back up a tad.
S1Ep20 is the question of ‘whose rights or interests are supreme?’
S1Ep21 is a parallel to WWII’s Internment Camps in North America
S1Ep22 is the story of a tennis net trying to get home. -
#STEnterprise hits a bit of a lull.
S1Ep17 has T’Pol tasting forbidden fruit.
S1Ep18 sees the struggle to respect hunters and prey.

#STEnterprise continues to please!
In S1Ep14, Archer learns to think like a Klingon.

S1Ep07 has a monastery taken by Andorians.
All: ★★★☆☆
#review #NeverEndingPandemic #TV #NetflixCanada -
#STEnterprise S1Ep03 + S1Ep04 are a mixed bag. 3 is a messy plot about people learning to communicate, including with themselves. 4 involves an hallucinogen messing with morale and interpersonal relations; as well as preconceived notions and biases.
Both episodes ★★★☆☆
#review #NeverEndingPandemic #TV #NetflixCanada -
#STEnterprise S1Ep01 gets the show off to a strong start. Lots of firsts here and oodles of excellent world-building on the foundations of earlier generations.

The Man From Earth, I don't know how often I've watched this #film so far, but after all these times, it's still such a great #movie to watch...
The premise, what if your friend claims to have been born as a #CroMagnon, and has thus supposedly has lived for thousands of years, is such an intriguing one.
The setting, your friend's home and yard, and the company of friends, is so uncomplicated and low-budget, which really helps put the focus on the story. It does feature familiar actors, but I don't feel like they have been type-cast, and they just feel right for the roles. Actors include #TonyTodd (known for playing #Kurn on #StarTrek) and #JohnBillingsley (#DoctorPhlox on #STEnterprise), #RichardRiehle (who played #Batai on the excellent episode The Inner Light, but also Seamus in the Voyager holodeck episodes), which is kinda fitting as the story is based on a 1969 Star Trek episode called 'Requiem for Methuselah', which was also written by #JeromeBixby.
Other actors include #EllenAnnCrawford (known for her role as Nurse Lydia Wright on ER), #AlexisAnnThorpe (Days of Our Lives), #WilliamKatt (The Greatest American Hero), #DavidLeeSmith and #AnnikaPeterson. -

CW: Star Trek: Enterprise INtake; Trip makes the perfect :3 face

CW: Star Trek: Picard, S1E10 Season Finale (spoilers!)
@antolius if Spiner is really strapped for cash, they can always bring back Lore, or another Soong I guess. ;)
The dinner scene was indeed lovely, but with Riker playing another Chef, how can we truly know it wasn't just another Holodeck scene as in #STEnterprise? xD
-
@ajroach42 #STEnterprise episode Similitude also had an interesting premise, but the fact that they decided to force the sentient clone to the terminated so they could harvest his organs to save Tucker, just doesn't feel like the #StarTrek way.
As @taweret likes to say: "Space 9/11 changed everything".
A better way would've been if they'd showed them realising it's not something #UnitedEarth members should do and having #Phlox stop the rapid [1/2] -
Since #CaptainPike has been gaining more popularity since #StarTrekDiscovery, let's see how he does against #StarTrekVOYager's #CaptainJaneway and #StarTrekENTerprise's #CaptainArcher.
#StarTrek fans, cast your votes! Try not to let your bias for the #STENTerprise, #STVoyager and #STDiscovery shows colour your vote for best captain!
Boost welcome. 🖖
