  4. I just wanted to let you all know that 30 May is my last day on the current @ARDC grant and that you can reach me at @wb2ifs and linkedin.com after that date. I'm going to decommission this profile.

  5. Just skimmed the latest @ARDC Newsletter. I'm really pleased to see #ARDC working with PEAK Grantmaking peakgrantmaking.org/ Judging from their website, they seem to be great advocates for #Diversity and #inclusion--qualities sorely needed in #AmateurRadio and #STEMEducation in general. Good on y'all. #STEMM, #STEAM

  6. I can't stress enough the importance of #DEI in #hamradio and other #STEM, #STEAM, and #STEMM activities. There simply ain't enough old white dudes with cats to keep #amateurradio going. Besides, wouldn't you like to #mentor someone young who is not like you? My first #mentors (#elmers) were a white couple who taught in #Montclair (#NJ) public schools. They gave me my novice test in their apartment. (I'll never forget getting bitten by ants as I took the exam on their couch. 😂 )

  7. In her latest President’s Perspective, Caroline Montojo highlights new initiatives to strengthen public engagement, embed civic science training in STEMM education, and connect researchers with communities. Together with Research!America, the Lasker Foundation, and Rita Allen Foundation, a set of recommendations were created to equip the next generation of scientists with the tools and confidence needed to engage the public.
