(ARTE, Wh.)

Tonight we are holding our Saturday Night At The Movies double feature in honor of Stella Stevens, who joined the ancestors yesterday. The Nutty Professor (1963) and The Silencers (1966).

The Nutty Professor also pays tribute to the great Stella with its theme music, the tune Stella By Starlight as played by Les Brown and his Band of Renown.

First Raquel Welch, now Stella Stevens. :-(

RIP, lovely ladies.

You will always be remembered by those of us who grew up watching your movies as we came of age, and being enchanted by your intelligence, class, strength, and beauty.

#RIP #StellaStevens (1938–2023)

#Hollywood #actress at her peak in the 1960s, when, looking like a spicier #SandraDee, she was featured opposite #ElvisPresley in GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS! (1962), #JerryLewis in #TheNuttyProfessor (1963), and #GlennFord in PAPA'S DELICATE CONDITION (1964).

She's best remembered, however, for falling to her death in #RonaldNeame's #blockbuster #ThePoseidonAdventure (1972).

And for giving #CarolLynley a rock-hard slap in that same #movie.
