When I was a boy, and still new to the #US, I quickly realized that all those white Santas in the fancy department stores were just go-betweens who interceded on my behalf with the REAL #Santa.
The real Santa came in person to the #SteelWorker #Union #Christmas parties, knew me by name, and put a present right my hands —same as for all the other little #Black and #Brown kids.
That Santa, the real Santa, was Black. 🎅🏿
