So I went to a gig on Friday night and it was amazing. A v intimate gig, put on by local record label Kikimora Records, at The Yard in Moseley. First act, Zolatec, was live witch house!! 💘💘💘 Absolute goals.

For the last three years I've been very fortunate to lunch with Andy Narell, who's one of the world's most well-known steel Pan players. He judges Panorama, the Steel Pan competition prior to the notting Hill Carnival, and then on carnival Sunday he pays me a visit and we have lunch together.
I always forget to grab the obligatory selfie but this year I remembered, so here's me next to Andy in my living room last Sunday.
Andy's played for all kinds of people for the last I don't know how many years, and was the pan player on the counting to twelve song in Sesame Street among many, many other things.
