One from Corfe last weekend that would qualify for StilleSonntag if it wasn't for the insistent kettle noise.
One engine in steam, and the signal box was unmanned, so all working was from the Up platform, hence the wrong line working.
Nice to see a preserved locomotive looking slightly scruffy. Rolling stock was immaculate.
Taken on an actual camera and moving my photo workflow to Linux, so took 5x longer than usual!

I have though, also taken the opportunity to email the railway centre I went to in October to introduce myself, and ask about what the pathway is for getting on the footplate of their engines. They seem like a nice bunch and their little industrial steam locos seem much more my style than this big stupid American thing. #SteamRailway

Well, I just sent an email back to the railway saying I'm not available for these dates. It might look a bit odd given the timeframe is March until the start of May but oh well. #SteamRailway

I have a dilemma. I have been given the availability sheet for the first part of the running on the #SteamRailway, but after the awful experience before Christmas, I'm kind of reluctant to volunteer.

Meanwhile, the S160 burns 2.5 tonnes of it in a day, and that’s doing 3-4 round trips of 6 miles #SteamRailway

In fairness to our S160, it has a coal capacity in the tender of 9 tonnes of coal, so I think you’d probably get a few years of home heating, more like! #SteamRailway

Anyway, I am scrubbed clean (well, as good as I can do, I’ll no doubt find more coal somewhere tomorrow), I am in my pyjamas and I am ordering a tasty takeaway delivery.

Just rewatched this programme about the Brienz-Rothorn-Bahn (Switzerland's highest steam mountain railway) to get in the mood for one of the things we'll be doing.
