Finally had a chance to stop by the #MainStreetCinema at #Disneyland today to check out the new ticket souvenir they're giving out. Love the ticket number tribute to #SteamboatWillie on the front of the ticket.
There is still a distinction between regular guests and #MagicKey guests. #MagicKeyHolder has a designation in the lower left quadrant whereas a regular ticket has a film reel symbol in that area. 1/2
The Mouse Trap, Mouseboat Massacre, and Screamboat all prove the same point: having access to Mickey Mouse isn’t the same as having an idea. Shock value isn’t a story, and self-awareness isn’t a substitute for creativity. If you’re going to twist an icon, at least understand what made it iconic in the first place.
