This is the second complete run through of the programme I’ve done. The first was on Netflix, this one due to me buying the entire programme. For me, this is the best #StarTrek. Not because of Nana Visitor (although HUBBA HUBBA!), nor because of Faith Salie (who is fantastic), but they definitely help.
What works for me is the politics of the story. Plus the love of the characters for each other. I want to live in that world.

While Wikipedia says that Ms Visitor’s marriage to Mr Rimmer continues, IMDb says that the two of them divorced in 2007.There is always hope, but it feels more real now.

At least in this scene, maybe even from ST:TNG on, the writers of #StarTrek conceived of the Klingon Empire as a metaphor for the USA.

Watching the #StarTrek #Enterprise episode with the #Ferengi.
IIRC it was a terrible episode, but I like how we get to hear their native language; not sure we've heard that before, except for perhaps a bit in the Little Green Men episode of #STDS9?
Not sure though if it originally aired with subtitles for the spoken Ferengi? The English (CC) subtitles on #Netflix seem to omit it at least... -
