Just did my regular lab tests, and thanks to Ozempic, walking, and weight loss, my recently skyrocketing A1C is back down to 6.5. But Ozempic's maker is gouging everyone, it's in short supply thanks to everyone who thinks they need to lose 5 pounds, and the insurance companies are suspicious of everyone. Also, DonElon want to cut price controls and Medicare, so, nothing to worry about here. Nope, nope, nope.

Gehste einmal auf'n Weihnachtsmarkt. Klingelt der schwarze Kasten. Also per Fußbus in die Wache (1km Vollsprint). Angekommen am VU alles halb so schlimm. Autos im Arsch, Personen wohlauf. Und dann der Ruf der Leitstelle wieder zurück zum Weihnachtsmarkt. An die Stelle, wo ich paar Minuten vorher los bin (10m entfernt). Laufende Laien Rea. 30 Minuten später betroffener erfolgreich im RTW. Ja, andere trinken halt Glühwein. 🙈

This seems to be an epidemic as good as any other. At least I don’t feel alone - there are a lot of us. I’d better follow @aweatherall ’s advise and at least keep busy. Baking and giving away for example. My neighbors will be in for a treat. Minimal kitchen-painting today I think.

This week marked 10 years of life that nearly didn’t happen.
On 27 February 2013 I, along with a quick thinking taxi driver, had a very narrow escape. I later paid him for the damage the gunman did to his car and promised never to call him for a ride. We were still in disbelief we’d both survived.
Here’s to another ten years of “cheating death” - as one Yemeni newspaper put it.
