🇫🇷 Les mises au tombeau de Jésus sont assez fréquentes dans les églises de l'Eifel mais l'ensemble de la Basilique St-Sauveur à Prüm (🇩🇪) est le seul en polychromie qu'il m'ait été donné à voir. (Oeuvre renaissance du XVIe siècle).
🇬🇧 The burial of Jesus are quite frequent in the churches of the Eifel but the one in the Basilica of the holy Savior (or Basilica of the Transfiguration of Our Lord) in Prüm (🇩🇪) is the only one in polychromy that I have seen until now. (Renaissance work from the 16th century).

One could think that sharing a photo of a statue, that isn't celebrating some privileged, rich, white, male, every week without repeating any for over 3 years would mean I'd have run out of options in central Madrid by now, but no 😉
This is La Paseante by Roberto Manzano Hernández, it's often mistakenly called Joven Bailando, but if you look closely you'll see the figure is not actually dancing

🇫🇷 Monument for a Wullok, c'est ainsi que s'appelle cette sculpture de Stief Desmet, réalisée en 2018 dans le cadre de la triennale Beaufort. Wullok, c'est du dialecte ouest-flandrien (West-Vlaams), en français, on parle de bigorneau. Il s'agit d'un bronze qui a verdi avec le temps.
La prochaine édition de la triennale aura lieu en 2027.
🇬🇧 Monument for a Wullok, that's the aname of this sculpture by Stief Desmet, created in 2018 as part of the Beaufort triennial. Wullok is from the West-Flandrian dialect (West-Vlaams), in English, we speak of periwinkle. It is a bronze that has greened over time.
The next edition of the triennial will take place in 2027.

I got tipped off about a sculpture exhibition in a "secret garden"
It felt like: entrance is only permitted on the third Saturday of the month, during a full moon when Mars and Venus are visible in the heavens...

Zum #StatuenSamstag heute die ungewöhnliche Bronzeskulptur "Fountain of Wishes" in der Osnabrücker Innenstadt mitten im Fluss Hase. Der "pinkelnde Polizist" war ein Beitrag von Fernando Sánchez Castillo für das Kunstprojekt COLOSSAL 2009.
