This is so bloody obvious to anyone spending a little time thinking about critical social services. Which begs the question: ‘if the polies also know this, why has this been allowed to continue?’ And the usual govt response is:’It’s comlicated.’ Well, not it’s not. #StateCapture does not work for the whole of society and only serves to increase wealth transfer to the top end of town while lowering the quality of services until they’re no longer effective. The only complications are the self-interests of #Grifters hell bent on increasing their wealth at the cost of everyonw else. It’s high time this #Theft is stopped.
“The world is gradually recovering from the mania for privatisation and pseudo-competitive markets that dominated the neoliberal area. But we need a more coherent response than “fix on failure”. It’s time to accept that essential infrastructure is too important to be left to private monopolies and duopolies, regulated or otherwise.”

There is a lot of legislative work to be done if govt(s) are going to do something about putting Australia on better footings to cope with what is coming down the line. And #Madhats (#LNP #Nats #PHON) aren’t ever going to do anything about it. Our meak and timid #Labor govt(s) are too caught up in the #Newscycle to roll up their collective sleeves and get to work (time is running out, that much is obvious) and that leaves a #CluelessElectorate , too #UnderThePump to see their way clear to send the only electoral message that ought to matter to all Australians, that is to vote for the #Greens next time around. Because only the Greens will act out of #Ideology (the good and prgressive kind for the greater good) and not #ElectoralSelfInterests (a nice way of saying #Corruption and #StateTheft #NeoLiberalism )

Ring the ALARM Bells…. #Privatisation of public transport infrastructure ensures a decline in services and early retirement of infrastructure assets due to cuts made in order to produce profit for investors. Private enterprise strip the assets bare and then put their greedy little hands out for govt #subsidies to get them out of presumed financial trouble (no one is looking at their deep pockets full of stolen $$ here). It has always been so, it will always be so… what’s so hard to understand here? It plain old #StateTheft. I venture to say that the #SA #blackouts is yet another ‘in your face’ example of what happens when the State lets a ‘private company’ look after infrastructure that should, by any measure, remain in public hands.
I’ll also venture to say that such ‘sweet deals for mates’ as selling off infrastructure and services to private bidders only ever leads to deteriorating infrastructure and a constant downgrading of services.
Ergo, I have no hesitation to put forward a lack of maintenance on the electricity infrastructure under stewardship of the private company in question as the sole and only factor for the resulting blackouts.

IT DOESN’T WORK!I don’t know how long it will take for polies to get it through their thick heads that privatisation of social services is StUpId as shit. The proof?
