I wandered over to #BlackSpireOutpost with friends yesterday because one of them was considering getting a #StarWars #GalacticSidekicks figure. Well, that ended up being a failed mission because we got to #GalaxysEdge to discover that they were completely sold out of them. The cast member said he thought there might be some coming back in stock but didn't know when.

A search of DisneyStore.com shows that they are also sold out of the mystery figures. #StarWarsGalaxysEdge #Batuu #Disneyland

Well, my resolve not to buy any of the #StarWars #GalacticSidekicks mystery figures quickly crumbled. Yeah, I see y'all out there, shaking your head, wondering why I even bothered resisting, especially when one of the figures is a rancor.

So over a couple weeks, I bought three of them. When you push the bottom button to "drain" the liquid, it reveals the creature inside. I have a #rancor, a #LothCat and a #varactyl. #BlackSpireOutpost #GalaxysEdge #StarWarsGalaxysEdge #Batuu #Disneyland

We tried the new dessert - Kashyyyk Cake - brownie base, raspberry sauce, tiramisu, and dark chocolate mousse. The dessert was fine, but it was basically mousse on a brownie. There was very little raspberry sauce and no hint of tiramisu. The red blobs were like waxy, very sweet rice krispie treats. Lunch yesterday was at #DockingBay7 for the #LifeDay #LifeDay2025 offerings. We shared the Kublag Curry - herb rice, curry-spiced shrimp, creamy chicken curry, cilantro, and feta crumbles. We ordered it without the cilantro on top. That was an amazing dish, such good flavor. I really enjoyed it. So, yeah, this happened, but when they said they were releasing #MurleyLothCat on #LifeDay #LifeDay2025 , I pretty much knew I was going to be adopting one. He is so dang cute and soft. I left him in his carrier until we can get home but I took pictures of some of his brethren.

When we were in #BlackSpireOutpost yesterday, we saw new inhabitants in the creature shop. Some research indicated that they were #merqaal , which were seen in #StarWarsOutlaws , a game. They were pretty cute, and when you pet them, their eyes would blink & they made purry noises.

Hadn't been over to the #DisneylandHotel in a while, so I saw the #Disneyland70 decor there for the first time yesterday. Baffled, though, that they put up a pretty mural on the wall and then proceeded to put a floral display right in front of it so you can't get a good straight-on picture of the mural. 🤷

Had to try the Black Spire waffle (waffle with sugar clusters) from #KatSatkasKettle for nostalgia reasons. It's basically a sweet waffle with additional little sugar bits. This is my favorite bottle opener. Bought it from #DroidDepot , I think, when #BlackSpireOutpost first opened in May 2019. I am a huge #PitDroid fan, so this was perfect. It's a magnet, so easy to keep track of on the refrigerator. #GalaxysEdge #StarWarsGalaxysEdge #Batuu #Disneyland #StarWars

I also had the zeltros mousse (vanilla bean mousse, strawberry creme, strawberry crunch crust, banana soil and chocolate caviar). I got lured in by the promise of vanilla bean mousse. Unfortunately, as you can see from the inside, there was more strawberry than vanilla bean, so it was much sweeter than I liked. Lunch today was at #DockingBay7 . I had the "surabat noodles with crispy marinated eopie" (lo mein noodles, bok choy, ground pork and togarashi pork rinds). I really enjoyed the dish, which was nicely seasoned. The noodles were a little dry. It didn't need a full-blown sauce per se, but just a little bit of moisture would have made it better. #BlackSpireOutpost #GalaxysEdge

We also tried the new fried chicken bao at #DockingBay7 yesterday - crispy chicken bao (the chicken are crispy, not the bao), spicy katsu sauce and creamy slaw. Good texture on the bao, good flavor on the chicken with the little bit of spicy from the sauce tempered by the coolness of the slaw. Really enjoyed this dish too. Decided to try the #JellyfruitMuffin - passion fruit buttermilk muffin with pineapple and blackberry jam.
