Finished painting the #Dianoga (Trash Compactor Monster) from #StarWarsANewHope. I tried to stay true to the spirit of the original design while keeping the color scheme to match my painting tree root (see earlier post). I’m procrastinating #3dprinting and building the Enterprise D. I’ve printed a couple other prints, one if which will vie for the model that’s determined to kill me. In the meantime though, I printed the dianoga from #StarWarsANewHope (the trash compactor monster). I have a tree root near the front door that’s just above the surface. Tonight I painted it to make it look like a tentacled worm and part of the printed dianoga head. Updates to come.

George Lucas had unlimited money to make the special edition for #StarWarsANewHope, had decent CGI, and his solution to hide a scene transition with Obi-Wan, Luke and the stormtroopers was to slowly roll an astromech in front of the camera?

My recent watch of the #Andor series has inspired me to re-watch the entire #StarWars saga again.

A couple of nights ago, it was a #StarWarsANewHope re-watch.

It's interesting how your perspective changes with respect to watching a movie you've seen many, many times, having learned more information about the associated backstory. This was the case when I watched A New Hope again after having just watched the Andor series for the first time and then re-watching #RogueOne.
