Seit Ende Oktober ist die zweite "Short Treks"-Staffel auf Paramount+ auf Deutsch online. Zeit genug, sich die Folgen mal anzusehen. Wer das Format bisher eher belächelt hat, sollte ihm vielleicht noch eine Chance geben!

🖖 Fun opening credits.
🖖 Smiling Spock is super cute.
🖖 His wig however is not.
🖖 LOL Oh god! Yeah, let‘s better not think too hard about the prime directive. Again: Love the meta commentary of Disco. But I agree with Spock.
🖖 Rebecca Romijn and Number One are both great. I am so happy about SNW.
🖖 Great first look at what we later learn about Una, culminating, as I would say, in her song „Keeping Secrets“ in Subspace Rhapsody.
🖖 Speaking of Subspace Rhapsody. It‘s said that Ethan Peck doesn‘t (like to) sing. But man, he‘s doing it quite a bit on Star Trek. 😁

🖖 So… uhm… I am a bit torn on this one. It‘s so silly. I mean, the way the Tribbles give birth, that big vacuum cleaner, Edward in his undies in the corridor. That‘s hilarious. But also very very weird.

Unfortunately I can‘t watch the two animated Short Treks at the moment, as P+ gives me a 404 for both of them. I also think they are wrongly titled. German Trekkies, do you have the same problem with them? I might have to write an essay-mail and ask what‘s up there.

DESCUBRIENDO EL FINAL: Paramount anunció que #StarTrekDiscovery llega a su fin con su quinta tempoarada, que además será estrenada en 2024. La serie fue responsable del renacimiento de #StarTrek en esta última década, en el que llegó a haber cinco series en producción al mismo tiempo, más una sexta, si contamos #StarTrekShortTreks.
#StarTrekPicard termina este año con su tercera temporada, pero se ha hablado de alguna suerte de spin-off (del spin-off), mientras que siguen adelante #StarTrekLowerDecks, que estrena este año su cuarta temporada, #StrangeNewWorlds, y #StarTrekProdigy, ambas estrenando su segunda.
Se ha hablado de otras series, como la de Section 31 o Starfleet Academy, pero ninguna se ha confirmado. Aunque haya recortes a lo largo de toda la industria, de los que no escapa Paramount, quizá se anuncie oficialmente alguna serie nueva en eventos como San Diego Comic-Con (julio), Star Trek Day (setiembre), o New York Comic-Con (octubre).
Más allá de que la USS Discovery y su tripulación ahora estén en el siglo 32, alguno de esos spin-offs podría ser con sus personajes y tomar lugar en esa época. Claro, sin descontar que alguno vuelva a otra era de la saga.
