Star Trek: Red Shirts | Comic Review

I read Star Trek: Red Shirts without knowing anything about the book, and it was a great decision. The book is awesome, and you should check it out.

Red Shirts follows a group of “red shirts” which are the security personnel aboard the various starships and bases. In this book, they are sent to an isolated planet on a secret mission to track down spies.

Christopher Cantwell weaves together a fantastic tale of loyalty and betrayal while the red shirts fight to survive the rough elements and wildlife where things aren’t quite what they seem.

Megan Levens and Charlie Kirchoff combine on the artwork to bring the dark, treacherous story to life. There are more than a dozen of the red shirts in this book, and they all are unique and distinguishable from each other.

The ending to this story legitimately shocked me. I don’t know what I was expecting from this story, but I can tell you that this ending wasn’t anything that I expected.

This is one of my favorite Trek books. I think you should check it out if you’re a fan.
