I think that so far, it's just the 11 who were booted out of Cabinet, and the noise reflects their media privileges rather than their support in the party. But #Burnham will have to be ready for ambushes from the Provisional McSweeney Army, inc false flag ops.

On Monday, Keir #Starmer will .leave Downing St. He will stand in the sun, while off-camera #Starmtroopers clutch P45s. Self-congratulatory lies, a tear wiped, then driven off to say bye to Charlie3.

But, if there was justice, Starmer would be handcuffed, then remanded in Belmarsh.

Sabotage of his party. Fraudulent leadership election. Hierarchy of racism. Mendacious purges. Freebies. Aiding genocide. Persecuting anti-genociders.

@ChrisMayLA6 I mostly agree. The Greens will still do well in London, and there is hope for some of the remaining non-London councils. Despite the #Starmtroopers' hopes, the blitz has not crushed the Greens.

But it has significantly slowed the Green momentum. Large parts of England which should have spent the next few years with a non-trivial bunch of Green councillors now won't get that boost. And ReformUK parades as today's big winners.

Yet again, big money mendacity makes big gains.

@ChrisMayLA6 The Labour right's strategy has been to clear the way for the far-right by smashing the left alternative. I dunno whether any of the Laboir right would put it that way, but that is the clearly signposted result of their strategy.

London will be different. But elsewhere, the #Starmtroopers have got what they wanted: Greens stopped, ReformUK boosted. It's wicked, but it's working.

A/ hold the GM mayoralty, lose Gorton, block #Burnham's coup

B/ lose the GM mayoralty, hold Gorton, get defenestrated by #Burnham.

Not being keen on defenestration, they chose package A. So they have selected a corporate lobbyist as #GortonAndDenton candidate to be eaten alive, but they keep their jobs in #Number10 for a bit longer.

@ChrisMayLA6 Sadly, I fear that the UKgov has weighed this correctly; that it is much easier to kick around a few million British children than put manners on half a dozen tech oligarchs, by banning their algoritms.

There are strong ethical and social reasons for not kicking the kids, but ethics has never been a strong point of the #Starmtroopers. So they take the easy path.
