  2. #Palantir now holds over £900 million in UK contracts, including major NHS and Ministry of Defence agreements, drawing criticism amid #Mandelson's role in #Starmer's 2025 Palantir visit. #AUKUS #Auspol

  3. @abcfeeds So #Starmers and the #BBC condemn a guy chanting Death to IDF, a genocidal military force that slaughters woman and children arbitrarily every day but won't 'ever' condemn the #IDF for genocidal arbitrarily slaughtering of woman and children.

This is the world we live in. It isn't the first time a government/media tried to stop people protesting at the blatantly wrong and it won't be the last.

  4. @Judeet88 @NotImpressed Agree, #Starmer will never oppose the Israeli government
If its true that this is because of his wife and advisers (i dont know), then the problem is that they are genocide supporting zionists, not that they are jewish -its an important distinction

I suspect #Starmers motivations are to do with being in "lock-step" with the US
A helpless pillion passenger on their foreign policy voyage

Either way, he is a disgrace as a #Labour party leader & "humanrights lawyer"

  5. @linuxgnome
    Maybe not him either..
I read a piece by a friend of #Starmers father that implied that his socialist father would hardly be on speaking terms with his very "not-socialist" son
    Dont have a link though

  6. #Starmers announcement about migration
    Ending #Rwanda scheme
    Speeding up processing
Greater International cooperation including accepting a fair quota of refugees

    Seemed well....., not utterly terrible
    Or did i miss something?

Obvs there were dog-whistle bits for the twats about "terrorism" ( though it was IIRC only standard "proceeds of crime stuff" )
And the framing was predictably negative -

  7. @jackLondon @ferrous @adrianfry i didnt say anything about a picket line did I ?

#Starmers support for nurses was limited to saying they should get "at least 2.1%"

    #Starmer #NHS #labour #UKPol #UKPolitics

  8. @davep all the blank pages could be handy for the next protest though the Public Order Act will be "bedding in" by then with #starmers blessing

  9. @jackLondon ok, so a thread about PR and #Starmers lack of support for it (and lack of support for any real change) is now about what planet i live on

    Deflect Deflect Deflect

  10. @EUtopean
Well, I think there is clear evidence of what the right wing press will do to 'firm' policy prescriptions... but perhaps more importantly, as I have noted before, mostly #democracy is about #voters voting against not for, so #Starmers' portion (at least for now) makes a sort of sense; provided as smaller a target for the antagonist press/media as possible...

  11. #Starmers #LBC @[email protected] response to @[email protected] re European Union by knocking her handling of the NHS in Scotland is crass tbh. Sounded no different to a Tory. Big mistake. Not offering any choice for Scots…

  12. Polls now show the #Tories are set to LOSE 231 SEATS at the next election, BUT WHO WILL WIN? With no leadership forward & no vision NO-ONE.
With #Starmers #Labour it would be business as usual, no #Scotland & no end to decline without the necessary vision to #reform the fundementals that have got us to where the UK now is. How people will vote when the chips are down will be interesting & may be as yet unexpected.
