Downloaded #Starflight from #GOG despite its not being playable on Linux & learned that that's the case, DOSBox, DOSBox-X, and Wine variants notwithstanding. Hence I'll just putz around, gathering minerals and earning interest for a while...

From what I gather there’s no way to save the saves of #Starflight, on #InternetArchive (in-browser), #GOG (download), or anywhere else! Shut down #Vivaldi, gone. Reboot, gone. The only option on Internet Archive is to save your progress and to keep the resultant terminal open.
And I was looking forward to so much noodling...

Had never heard of #Yuzu. That said, source for #Starflight & #BalanceOfPower would be nice.

I played #Starflight until my eyes bled. Never could get Balance of Power running on my Victor VI, alas. Surprised these haven't been resurrected by the #retrogaming #retrocomputing community.

@Omega Ich würde sagen es hämgt vom Spiel ab. Als Faustformel: Je älter das Ursprungsspiel, desto eher würde mich ein Remaster oder gar Remake reizen.

Beispielsweise würde ich sehr gerne ein modernes Remake von #Starflight oder #TheWitcher1 besitzen. 🥰

My second experience with #RetroComputing was an illicit #VictorVI from #Sirius (Sirius Systems Technology). Modem hiss. #Zork. #StarFlight. #BalanceOfPower I lusted after, #ColdWar kid that I was, but alas! the fucking thing was a jury-rigged nightmare in order to be #IBMpcCompatible.. Those were the days... #LinuxStarFlight #LinuxBalanceOfPower prithee.
