Hate to admit it, but I haven’t really been enjoying the new #NASAPUNK2330 after coming straight out of #Scarfield

So I’m reminding myself how good it is by tormenting myself resuming my original #VanillaStarfield playthrough on #Xbox — and I have to wonder, how did I even make it to Level 211 and through ten universes without any mods in the first place?

There are a lot of things I really, really love about #NASAPUNK2330

For one thing, how Ecliptic have been transformed from a bunch of lumbering oafs with expensive toys they don’t know how to use into full-on Space Nazis as well-read and strategic as they are evil? It’s not like the vanilla experience ever STOPPED me from hunting them for sport, BUT NOW it’s a moral imperative.

But then there’s this whacked-out shit with mannequins. Okay. I get it. The guy doesn’t want to accidentally allow for an OP playthrough, so messed with the mannequins to only allow spawning of broken armor on them. But now I can’t equip my own armor on my own mannequins in my own outposts and ships??? WTAF. How am I supposed to show off all my hunting trophies now?!

I know it’s been a few days since I started my new new new #NASAPUNK2330 playthrough, but even though I’ve already crossed the Level 100 line and reached max loyalty with both Sarah and Andreja, I still haven’t figured out even a half-decent way to have my #ManifestDestiny and eat it too

What’s really funny about this mess of a mixed metaphor is I’m actually talking about my preferential weapon-build, a long, amplified Va’ruun Inflictor particle rifle using annihilator rounds. Preferably legendary with the Elemental buff. Nothing to do with cake at all!

Well. It doessss make massacring Spacers, Pirates, Ecliptic mercenaries, and the freakiest xenofauna this side of the Pleiades better than chocolate… but…

Yeah. #NASAPUNK2330 is awesome. No. Perfection itself. No. Even more than that. Shit. Does English even have a word for “better than perfection itself”? It should.

NASAPUNK2330 makes #Starfield finally fun the way it always should have been. Difficulty is balanced around strategy, not handicaps. There’s gun control. Armor breaks and has to be repaired. The economy is balanced realistically around a consumer culture. Starships and ship parts are expensive as fuck. You have to work to earn your credits. Everything that should be contraband, is.

And paired with the #PopcornTime music overhaul mod? OMFG it’s a brave new world.
