I’ve (already) lost track of the number of times I’ve faced off against #Watchtower and I have exactly two observations worth noting:

1. The ideal strategy for dealing with them is to simply allow them to be a persistent threat, much like Ecliptic, the Spacers, Crimson Fleet, and Va’ruun Zealots, stretching out the growth of your fleet as long as possible, to allow them enough time to become dangerous enough to be worth fighting in a direct conflict
2. It’s so disturbing to be called an “S-Category Deviant” that I feel compelled to exterminate them as fast as possible regardless of knowing the ideal strategy

I happened to notice that #Watchtower fleets use an interesting but peculiar difficulty-scaling algorithm—the individual ships scale by level as normal, but the size of the fleets seem to keep growing as well. I haven’t quite mapped out the curve in my head but it seems to be polynomial.

In any case. It took me nearly 45 minutes last night just to loot all the damn ships from a large response fleet in orbit of Ka’Zaal.

PS: currently playing on #Darkstar #PunishMe difficulty, which compared to #Scarfield is disappointingly easy, however, works on both #PC and #Xbox which is not nothing

This time I’ve been hijacking Watchtower Battleships for my fleet instead of Starborn Guardians, renaming them Battlestars. It may be slightly out-of-universe, and by no means thematically-correct, but somehow… it still fits

To say nothing of decking out every ship in my fleet with a terrifying array of skydrop modules now—orbital precision strikes, wide-area bombardment, inferno bombs, and smoke screens, to be precise. I still need to add EMPs to wipe out all the mechs, turrets, and bots with a first strike though.

I can’t believe how quickly I was able to dismantle (read: destroy) the entire #Watchtower array network by building a decent little fleet of #StarbornGuardian ships and targetting the array hubs

I really should have gone after the terminal arrays, to draw out the campaign a little, as well as for the extra loot. The whole chain-reaction thing is deeply unsatisfying, from a gameplay perspective.

Not to mention the orbital strikes, fleet mechanics, mech warfare, and random Londinion-style terrormorph outbreaks. Hell yeah.

It also includes support for untagged miscellany, which appears to include unrecognized custom tagged items such as a variety of other mod-added content that Lazy Scav would ignore or glitch-out over. Lazy Panda don’t care, he loots and pillages EVERYTHING.

One funny twist: if you loot something by hand that Lazy Panda already set his sights on, he’ll grab it right back out of your inventory. Not even kidding.
