Been meaning to try this #Starfield mod out for a while, and now that the Mod Index overflow issue has been resolved in the latest #StarfieldBeta I finally have the room in my load order to do so.
“Earth Restored” by AinsyMods, does exactly what it says on the tin: it completely breaks the canonical lore of the Starfield universe by restoring the great green hills of Earth to the paradise we know and love, transforming it into a whole new level of hell.
Earth is infested with terrormorphs and other hostile, predatory xenofauna. Enclaves of Va’ruun Zealots and Ecliptic mercenaries are running rampant, robbing the grave of human civilization’s origin to finance their campaigns of terror across the Settled Systems. Contingents of UC Marines containing the myriad threats belie the UC’s blatant propaganda about the environmental destruction of Earth that forced humanity into the stars, while military-grade scanner jammers give false readings to bolster the party line, prevent the collection of evidence, and keep the facts from being revealed to humanity at large.
My God. It is the best mod I’ve ever installed.

So much for “a true living nightmare”…
Running on the Ultra graphics preset to push my hardware to the limit. Over 260 #StarfieldCreations loaded. No clue what my Mod-Index count is at, since SFEF hasn’t been updated to work under the latest #StarfieldBeta yet. But no matter. Only one CTD so far. One!
This beta is the most stable #Starfield has ever been.

Switching over to the latest #StarfieldBeta now
Aside: somehow by the end of the #VanguardFaction questline on my #Scarfield playthrough I managed to be so OP I was running around the wilds of Toliman II gun-bashing terrormorphs, other random xenos, and pirates to death, mostly one-hit kills—yes, even the two obnoxious avian-analogues. The Crimson Fleet I ran into at a POI were well above my player level, too, 3x on average, and oh sure they at least put up a fight and kept lighting me on fire, yet I barely took any damage. So clearly I need a new level of challenge, blowing up #Starfield itself over and over by testing mods on the beta release. This should prove to be a true living nightmare.
