I previously used love from others as a bandage for the love I was not providing to myself. Their love made me feel good…until it didn’t.
Then I was scrambling not having any love. Now that I know I can provide myself with my own support, compassion, and love, I’m no longer desperate to be loved by someone else.

My self-love journey feels long but really, I hated myself for almost 40 years before deciding I needed to love myself. Seriously.
I remember asking a friend about 15 years ago how to love myself + she said “just do it” but I had no clue how.
