Okay, tears poured out of my face when I arrived at Princess Park. My soul missed those trees.
This is one of my fave forests in North Van and I’m grateful I finally made it back there.
I hadn’t been there for more than 2 years when I was still using a walker while recovering from multiple foot surgeries. My soul needed those trees.

I’ve been quiet since I did a LOT of peopling and needed recovery time.
Went on a road trip with friends a week ago to Keremeos to see my mom as well as a friend I didn’t know had moved there. We stayed on an orchard. It was magical.
My mom was happy to see me and it was good to see her new care home. She had a fall when we were at her friend’s house and I beat myself up all week about it. Sigh. Trying to be kind to myself.

The picnic gathering was so good! So much so that I was chatting so much that I forgot to eat. Met lots of lovely women. Exchanged numbers with a couple people. Oh, and did I mention that they encouraged everyone to wear a crown?! I finally wore my tiara somewhere other than my apartment.
