Happy St David's Day! 🌼
Walked the dog this morning and got to thinking about how different life looks now. Coming up to six months at Kyndryl.
Sometimes a career move pushes you right out of your comfort zone. I went from a Microsoft stack into leading Forward Deployed Engineers - and it's been fun to focus on an open source stack. Created the capability, now scaling it to 22,000 engineers.
Picking up dog poo keeps you grounded.

Remembering Elizabeth Annie Jones on #StDavid’sDay. She died aged 22 in Oct 1916 of TNT poisoning. She had worked at NEF Pembrey. Her mother Mary Anne Williams claimed compensation for her daughter's death. Her name is on the local war memorial #LestWeForget #WomensHistory womenandwar.wales

I went to a #StDavidsDay event today. Theres never been one in my city at this scale before, but my experience at the Celtic Festival that used to happen here taught me to have low expectations. Despite that, I was still borderline offended. The performer was a local singer wearing a kilt 🚫 and singing Irish folk songs. 🚫 Like… wtf. That’s like hosting a Canada Day celebration with everyone dressed like Texan cowboys while playing American folk songs.

There's the World Zero Discrimination Day event in ZetaWorlds which starts in a bit over an hour and a half.
There's the grand opening of OpenSim World's Fair in the Wolf Territories.
There's an unlisted St. David's Day Dance on the Welsh sim Redoutable in Speculoos Grid.
Not to mention a whole lot of more or less regular events.
