I cheated on the actual construction though: skipped modeling a wood frame within a canvas cover, which is probably the real build (the drawing doesn't confirm it either way), and just made outer and inner surfaces instead.

The roof also follows the deck sheer and camber but not 100%. E.g. at station 3 the deck camber is much higher than on roof as it is so close to the rood edge.

Corrugated sheet roofs existed by then too, but the dockyard drawing shows a more conventional canopy on GM. Such canvases were very popular on ships.

Soittelin pari båtologia väreistä: runko olikin luultavasti tummanvihreä ja kiiltävä, ei musta, ja kattilan päällä sinistetty pelti, ei puuta. Korjasin mallin. Lakatun puun sijaan työlaivassa puupinnat on myös yleensä maalattu.
