My family owns an #SRO (a single room occupancy "hotel") in #Chinatown & has owned it since the 1940's.
SROs are a uniquely San Francisco type of residence that have been in use long before the 1980's as the intro of this #PBS video "Home is a Hotel" states but whether you're familiar with SROs or not this video about life in SROs in SF is worth watching.

The Republicans are calling for a special session to “resolve” issues about new restrictions on restraint techniques used by School Resource Officers.
People say the law is vague. I just read the portion in question. It doesn’t allow prone restraints. It doesn’t allow them to impair a pupil’s breathing.
We may have a special session so that police can choke students.
