Tried using SR-IOV and IOMMU on my computer and it clearly did not like that as it prevented me from getting into the UEFI or boot menu from POST. The GRUB entry for the UEFI Firmware Settings thing worked, but after turning them off I had to shut my computer down fully as a reboot didn't fix it.

Как использовать виртуальные сетевые карты SR-IOV в ProxMox VE 8
Случается, что виртуальной машине необходимо предоставить доступ к RAW сетевой карте с тегированным трафиком, не разделяя его на VLAN на уровне гипервизора. Например, такое требование есть у OPNsense(firewall и routing) и у контроллеров для отечественной виртуализации Basis Dynamix. Расскажу, как сделать такой доступ.

What a time to be alive! Relatively painless #SRIOV with the latest opt-in kernel 6.17 for #Proxmox! There's slight wonkiness here and there with the #intel drivers (on the Windows side), but from what I can see in the #level1techs video and thread, they are working diligently. Right now it's just #homelab shenanigans, but this will be useful for the last 2 Windows use cases I have once it's a little smoother.

I have a ConnectX-4 LX card. Using openvswitch, switchdev mode, bunch of VF's passed through with VLAN tags etc. (Proxmox) all working just fine.
Except to BSD VM's. mlx5en fails to load; mlx5_cmd_check fails with a CREATE_TIR error: bad parameter (syndrome 0x201139) and mce0 isn't created.
201139 is 'stateless tunneled offload' not supported.
VF doesn't need it, is there a way to stop BSD from trying the offloads when loading the module??

This is the source for #intel #i915 #sriov support using #dkms . Just wish support was in the OOTB kernels - not yet.
Even though the host is seemingly working, it's a bit fragile as will need rebuilding for each kernel update (pinned for now)
Anyone gone through this with the #n100 ? Surely there must be others?
Prior to this I tried full GPU passthrough (ie full device passthrough, not virtual gpu) , but couldn't get it to work reliably.

The existence of SR-IOV implies the existence of JR-IOV.
