I just got a premium new electronic Device that DIDN'T require me to create an account to use it, never mind a subscription. Feels weird!
It's a Wiim smart speaker, and it has native support for Lyrion Media Server, which is so old (but still up to date) that it is from a time when developers asked "why would you make a login?"

Got a Logitech Squeezebox Boom off eBay (Circa 2008) and have it wired into Lyrion Music Server & Home Assistant. The audio quality is damn good; and it can be synced with other devices for multi-room audio. Definitely an excellent and cheap alternative to Spotify Connect and or Sonos. Lyrion Music Server even acts like an AirPlay proxy for my husband's iPhone. If you had to choose one to use as a personal music streamer, which would you choose? I'm leaning towards #Navidrome because there seems to be more options on Android that works with #subsonic. I think I'll try #LogitechMediaServer when I get a #raspberrypi.

Still recovering from my latest #neuro #flare, but delighted to manage nearly an hour of #accordion practice. Mainly practicing my arrangements of tunes like #EricBogle tune No Man's Land, #Aladdin live action movie's Speechless, #Despacito and #EdSheeran #Shivers. But also continuing to learn a very tricky version of #PhantomOfTheOpera, and enjoying an old favourite #Spanish Gypsy Dance and a lovely #MyFairLady medley. #Squeezebox #Music #MusicPractice #Disney #PopMusic #Musicals

Delighted after a run of days sleeping all day #neuro to manage some #accordion practice. Starting to learn the #PhantomOfTheOpera melody - a very difficult #harmonic version. My accordion was doing its best impression of a big #organ! Also continuing to practice #Aladdin 's Speechless - I'm getting more fluent with it. Updated the computer software #SheetMusic versions of Anastasia’s Once Upon A December, Eric Bogle’s No Man’s Land, Aladdin’s Speechless, Despacito and Que Sera Sera.
