I finished reading the entire Slough House series, novellas included and wonder what I should read next. I previously read Le Carre’s The Spy Who Came in from the Cold and found it way too grim. My experience with spy fiction is limited aside from that. I seem to like the sweet and sour combination of grim and funny generally, like Laundry Files which is a bit more grim, or Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency which is a bit more funny. #bookstodon #SloughHouse #SpyFiction

A ce jour, j'ai lu tous les romans de #LeCarré sauf celui-ci.
(Sans doute l'avais-je laissé de côté pour avoir vu le film en son temps ; film qui ne m'avait pas du reste laissé un grand souvenir).

Jusqu'ici, ça fait fort penser à "Notre agent à la Havane", mais ça soutient tout à fait la comparaison.

Jimmy Sangster was a hugely successful screenwriter. His 1968 novel Touchfeather slots neatly into the “glamorous sexy lady spy” genre. A glamorous airline stewardess is really a spy. Cynical, and has some real punch. A great sexy spy thriller.
