Leider produziert Piko diese Wagen nur noch als Hobby-Modelle mit vereinfachter Bedruckung. Ich finde das schade, denn dadurch fehlen insbesondere die grauen Fensterrahmen, die aus meiner Sicht charakteristisch sind für diese Wagen.

Evening run 🇸🇰 🚈
First coach in the rake was my first attempt at fitting interior lights. Looks very cozy I think esp behind the beautiful 240 "Laminatka" hauling it. Will attempt to add lighting to the remaining coaches in a similar fashion.

I'm finally starting to slowly address the diesel locomotive shortage in my fleet. Here's DB Cargo 232 618. This is a heritage locomotive wearing the old DR livery that operates in the modern times and has all necessary UIC markings for doing so.
As such it makes a good addition for running modern freight and special excursion trains.

A little more than 10 years ago, the iconic BR 182 locomotives operated on the S-Bahn Dresden.

Based on an idea and thanks to the lego construction work from my friend Alex we were able to operate trains on two seperate levels successfully for the first time :)The uphill spiral and bridge proved to be one of the most interesting parts of this layout as everyone was eager to try out if their train would get up there.

Lausitzbahn, Trilex, ODEG, Städtebahn Sachsen.
In the real world, ODEG and Lausitzbahn met for a few days during transition of the Cottbus - Zittau line and as the Städtebahn livery outlived the company itself it also met ODEG and Trilex liveried units.Furthermore, it seems that the Desiros originally commissioned for Lausitzbahn once the franchise ended went on to MRB, then to Städtebahn from who MRB took over again after the company went defunct and once the MRB contract ended, the Desiros were added to the Trilex fleet. While I have not been able to find a list of the vehicle numbers, there are Desiros that wore 3 of the 4 liveries shown in their lifetime.

ToDo before its next service: add the extra parts of the roof (luckily I got almost all of them), oil and run in the motor (only stood in a display case for the last few years, motor bogie squeaks but driving characteristics are otherwise good), and diagnose the lighting as it currently only works in one direction

First test of another Desiro and - not to say one of the most important vehicles for completing the collection with the theme of Dresden and the routes along the Elbe river: after a long time of saved searches, the Städtebahn Sachsen is now also represented on the floor railway 😁
