Trying out #hoot from #spritelyinstitute which is a #guile to #wasm compiler.
If you have an external emacs like I do and still use guix package manager for guile packages.guix install guile-goblins guile-hoot guile-next
create a file (use-modules) then
open shell,
guild compile-wasm --run <your_example.scm> file. -

I am finally reading @cwebber 's whitepaper on #SpritelyInstitute and #SpritelyGoblins and wow what a breath of fresh air. There is so much to love here, but the Goblin/object-centric design is really interesting, especially in the context of social systems which are typically actor-centric. Can I also say how refreshing it is to read a document where the authors clearly care about the people reading it understanding what's going on? "We use this dialect of Lisp because it is more familiar to people unfamiliar with LISP, and if you want to understand more about it we have written an appendix for that."
This is also one of the rare cases where the naming universe escapes typical programmer dreariness and really works - a Goblin is a self contained object with capabilities, i can imagine those little guys running around the internet on their own. A Goblin is spawned from a Vat which serves as its context, etc.
only like a 5th through but i really like what i'm reading
