  1. I continue to chew away at the #PsychotherapyResearch & #OpenAccess topic*

    Recently opposing articles draw in their arguments on this #PlanS #NoFreeLunch paper:
    doi.org/10.1056/NEJMms1900864

    There is a lot in there, but for now I am focus on the following:

    Do you at least read the table of contents of EACH issue of (at least) one particular journal?

  2. Qualitative #MetaAnalysis on negative experiences in psychotherapy from clients’ perspective:
    tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10

    Analysis of 936 statements from 51 studies supports the development of 21 categories covering broad clusters: therapists’ misbehaviour, hindering aspects of the relationship, poor treatment fit, negative impacts of treatment.

  3. It was great to hear at #SPRDublin2023 of this study to set up a web-based routine outcome monitoring system in psychotherapy services in Ecuador:

    "...in the short term, a culturally contextualised data collection system will be developed, implemented and made available for free to Spanish-speaking clinicians and researchers." 👏

  4. The "Meet the editors" of #PsychotherapyResearch at #SPRDublin2023 last week was very interesting.

    The audience wanted to know more about the differentiation between:
    - inquiries about fit;
    - #PreRegistration;
    - #RegisteredReports
    (see my response below for more).

    And another topic that was raised were questions around whether journals
    - should recommend the use of reporting guidelines
    - or make them even mandatory.

    Thoughts?

  6. If you want to come and want a solid definition of what #OpenAccess is about, why not look at the definition of the Budapest Open Access Initiative:

  7. Well, #SPRDublin2023 nearly had me finishing a #PrePrint in time for this discussion!

    #OpenAccess Publications:
    Road to salvation or doom for Psychotherapy?

    I did not make it, but you can read my position for the discussion here 👇

  8. Complete either sentence:

    #OpenAccess publications will lead to the salvation of #Psychotherapy,...

    Open Access publications will be the doom of Psychotherapy,...

    #SPRDublin2023 @SPRtweets & @SPR_EU_Youngs folks in particular 😊

    Looking forward to the panel discussion!
