I put together a solution to enable proper snapshot recording of views in Swift packages:
https://github.com/teufelaudio/HostedSnapshotHelper
This covers sheets, alerts, and iOS 26 glass effects such as toggles, which look very odd in snapshots of views taken in a Swift package.
It's still a work in progress, but I welcome any feedback.

"Added the ability to enable package traits on dependencies from the Package Dependencies view. (141748785)"
There are a ton of goodies in the release notes, but this one earns a well-deserved #Finally

Swift Package Manager is a really great thing. But what always bothers me is that it simply downloads the entire repository, including every bit of rubbish from the repo, which is often completely unnecessary. It would be really great if I could use Package.swift to control which files and directories are important for the package. And then it should only download THOSE. It annoys me incredibly to clutter up other people's hard drives with useless stuff...

Question everything you know about package structure. Using versioned 𝑃𝑎𝑐𝑘𝑎𝑔𝑒.𝑠𝑤𝑖𝑓𝑡 files exclusively for tool versions? This article challenges whether that pattern actually provides value or just adds maintenance burden.

Stopped by Target today and the only #magicthegathering product they had on the shelves was Aetherdrift and Spider-Man. Usually they don’t have anything which suggests to me that those sets are indeed clunkers. #mtg #dft #spm

What if your Swift packages could adapt to different build configurations automatically?
SPM Traits act as powerful feature flags, enabling conditional compilation, optional dependencies, and advanced package configurations. Think of them as the missing piece for building truly flexible, modular Swift packages that adapt to your project's needs.
