Switched from Windows to Linux for music production, but I'm stuck with @Bitwig Splice Rent-to-Own licensing issues. The Linux version locks me out because it can't find the Splice daemon. Anyone found a recent, stable workaround for this? 🐧🎛️ #LinuxAudio #Bitwig #Splice

I was using some Samson Treemaster the other day to yard some logs. I knotted the rope to make an attachment, and couldn't get the knots out. Treemaster doesn't like giving up knots once it's loaded. It's a nasty gnarly line. Difficult to deal with in every respect, but it wears like iron.

I cut the knots out, and spliced eyes into the ends. I *can not* splice Treemaster worth a damn. Ugly splices, but they should hold, and the eyes will be useful.

oh dear, BBC. I remember when I was a kid my dad was very amused by his work on a soundbite of Muldoon from an interview, changing the pitch of a word with his reel-to-reel so that Muldoon's reply finished halfway through and meant something completely different. He used it with his journalism students to show them you could't trust what you were fed and always had to ask questions. He would have loved and hated today's deepfakes and AI illusions #splice
