I really like the game Splendor (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/148228/splendor) but the box is so absurdly large compared to the size of the actual game components. I finally bought a custom-designed replacement box online, and the difference is remarkable. SO much easier to carry — and personally, I think the smaller box is just as beautiful, if not more so!

Heute die Erstpartie #SquareOne mit der Tochter gespielt. Es kommen #Splendor Vibes auf, weil man Teile „tauscht“ und verbessert, um sich die punkteträchtigen Sequenzen leisten zu können. Pour un #j2s de pose de tuiles et de construction de tableau, je trouve les graphismes trop chargés et le jeu trop long. Mais il reste plaisant à jouer malgré que l'on joue un peu tout seul dans son coin.
Je n'arrive pas trop à comprendre pourquoi ce jeu ne « marche pas » pour moi alors que #Splendor oui 🧐

Heute die Erstpartie #SquareOne mit der Tochter gespielt. Es kommen #Splendor Vibes auf, weil man Teile „tauscht“ und verbessert, um sich die punkteträchtigen Sequenzen leisten zu können. Es gibt Ähnlichkeiten mit dem großen Bruder #ProjectL. Insgesamt aber recht leichte Kost für abends oder zwischendurch, würde ich sagen. Ich muss mir bald mal den Solomodus ansehen. Die Tochter gewann und fand es etwas langweilig… 👀 #brettspiele @brettspiele
