I suppose a little bit of spite has spurred me to make the patio nice on our side of the fence.

As I posted before I cut down a metre wide bush of ivy that was raking up lits of space and damaging things. It resulted in the ivy on the neighbour's side leaning a bit and the neighbours were annoyed and appear to actually like the ivy. It's about a metre wide on their side!

Because they talked down to me like they were ivy experts it made me more determined to make our side nice. The ivy on their side looks ridiculous but I think they will keep it to probably prove a point of some kind.

I first fixed the leaning as best I could then put up trellises and planters. So now we've got a herb garden and some flowers and I'm looking forward to see things grow. I'm happy and my spite will probably spur me to maintain the garden.
