Logische Fortsetzung: bei jeder Iteration ein Loch und einen Zahn weiter. Und bei den Farben gefällt mir gerade eine dunkle Farbe außen und helles gelb ganz innen. Das regenbogenfarbene noch mal im Detail, weil es mir so gut gefällt 🙂

Ich löse mich langsam von den Vorlagen. Beim letzten Mal habe ich für jede Farbe ein neues Loch genommen und an der selben Startposition angefangen, so dass sich #Spirograph Blumen verschiedener Größe überlagert haben. Heute bin ich beim selben Loch geblieben, habe den Kreis aber für jede Farbe um ein Zähnchen weiter bewegt, so dass sich die selbe Blume leicht versetzt überlagert.

#Spirograph Blumen auf Kratzpapier. Muss noch ein bisschen ausprobieren, welche Designs gut gehen, und üben, mit dem Kratzstift nicht auszurutschen. Aber macht Spaß 🙂

Ich boykottiere ja Valentinstag genauso wie ich als Kind die Muttertagsbastelei verweigert haben (wer mir wichtig ist, weiß das an jedem Tag im Jahr). Zur Feier des Tages gibt es heute trotzdem ein paar Rosen 🙂

🌀 A spirograph and quantum mechanics
While playing with a spirograph, we noticed something unexpectedly useful.
Simple mechanical constraints — rotation, phase relationships, and boundaries — generate nodal structures and dense/sparse regions that look strikingly like quantum probability distributions.
This doesn’t replace quantum mechanics, and it doesn’t claim electrons trace literal paths.
But it does raise an important question: if probability distributions emerge from constraints and interference, shouldn’t we be explicit about what those constraints are?

@sk76 I remember drawing a picture for #NelsonMandela. it was a task given to us by our #DDR kindergarten teacher. the pics were to be sent to his prison cell in #SouthAfrica. but despite the teacher's best attempts to relay the severity of the situation in a more or less child adequate way, the results were just the usual kid scrawlings: house, sun, meadow and broken stick figures. you deserved better mr. mandela, at least a #spirograph drawing, but I didn't know about those yet :lost: #klife

Used the laser cutter to make a holder for my class set of spirographs — for the lessons I like to do my students need to know how many teeth the gears have. They write a program that produces the same curve using turtle. (with older students we do the trig, which I just call “magic circle functions” for the grade fives)
This will make it all go much smoother!
