  1. @bcsmagazine What a poetic image from Urlich! I love trees as #metaphors for human beings, and this tree has twisted and turned for many years, reaching for the horizon and bright light of an ethereal #utopia over deep, mysterious waters. This tree is every #philosopher and #spiritualist. Bravo! 🎨👨‍🎨

There has to be an #Accordion connection 🪗 👻 here right? 🥁

Curiously, almost long as they’ve existed, Accordions have been connected to the otherworldly through the #spiritualist movement by figures like #DanielDunglasHome who had the dead play accordion in #séances 🎺

  4. More about Paschal Beverly Randolph (October 8, 1825 – July 29, 1875):

"You may not know his name. You may not know what he did, but if you’re a black #occultist? If you enjoy esoteric wisdom? You should. Paschal Beverly Randolph, was a #spiritualist, occultist, sex magician and the founder of the first (accepted history) Rosicrucian order in North America."

  5. Doing some research about Paschal Randolph, founder of the American Rosicrucian Order. Randolph "was a Black medical doctor, occultist, #spiritualist trance medium, and writer," who "journeyed to England, through Europe, and as far east as Persia, where his interest in #mysticism and the #occult led him to study with local practitioners of #FolkMagic and various religions. On these travels he also met and befriended occultists in England and Paris, France." #BlackHistory
