    Three Things Challenge

    Your three words today are:
    QUALITY ✅
    QUANTITY ✅
    QUILL

The thoughts of some brilliant minds have long been up for debate in society when it comes to who’s the best or most influenceable lyricist in music. The quantity to chose from is enormous even if you stick to one genre or even a generation.

Today I am going to stay in the genre of rock from the early seventies for my answer. I feel the quality of music then was exceptional and the poets that wrote these lines for music explored a variety of deep thoughts

In just this little space of time there were so many great stories put to music I find it difficult to chose just one so again I will leave you with three choices from my altered mind.

1- Black Oak Arkansas (Mar 71′)
I’ve walked through the Halls of Karma
I shook hands with both the Devil and God
They turned my eyes to the inside to see
    Where my energies have gone

    2 – Ozark Mountain Daredevils (Nov 73′)
If you want to know a secret
You got to promise not to tell

If you want to get to heaven
You have to raise a little hell

    3 - Steve Miller Band (May 76')
Come on, papa, your end is the means
Don't trade your love and goodness for the golden machine
    You run for the money
You don't even know about wild mountain honey

Here are the three videos of these classic hits that have resonated with me through time.
