El creador de contenido Daniel Rotar (ZONEofTECH) vivió una pesadilla con su Samsung Galaxy Ring cuando la batería se hinchó mientras lo llevaba puesto. El incidente provocó que el dispositivo quedara completamente atascado en su dedo, causándole dolor y obligándolo a buscar ayuda médica de emergencia. Samsung está investigando el caso, considerado una falla «extremadamente rara» en sus dispositivos.

El problema fue reportado por Daniel Rotar a través de su cuenta de X (anteriormente Twitter), donde compartió imágenes del anillo con la superficie interior visiblemente hinchada. El YouTuber describió la situación como dolorosa e incluso relató que, como resultado del incidente y la hinchazón, le fue negado el abordaje de un vuelo y tuvo que pasar la noche en un hotel antes de ser enviado a un hospital. Allí, el personal médico pudo retirar el dispositivo con éxito.
Samsung emitió un comunicado oficial a Engadget afirmando que la seguridad de sus clientes es una prioridad y que están en contacto directo con Rotar para entender lo sucedido. La compañía coreana sugiere métodos comunes para quitar un anillo atascado, como usar agua y jabón o sumergir la mano en agua fría, aunque reconoce que estas experiencias son «extremadamente raras».

Hab in hintersten Winkel meines Büro Schranks diese alte nicht mehr genutzte Powerbank gefunden. Ich wollte sie nur zur Seite räumen, aber mir ist sofort aufgefallen dass sich das Gehäuse komisch anfühlt. Es ist nämlich deutlich aufgebläht und ist gerade dabei ein #spicypillow zu werden.
Bin grad sehr froh, dass mir das aufgefallen ist. Wenn die noch wer weiß wie lange ungenutzt im Schrank gelegen wäre - wer weiß was passiert wäre. Und wo soll ich das jetzt am besten lagern, bis ich das nächste mal zum Recyclingcenter komme? Richtig sicher fühle ich mich damit nämlich nicht mehr...

I'd seen a lot of mention of the Uniden SDS100 scanner battery puffing and failing, but I was not expecting one of ours to smash the battery compartment off the scanner to escape. The gaff tape is old so I suspect the plastic latch failed long ago.
