I have talked a lot about my Wolves lately, but there is another series that's just as dear to me:
The Winds & Pillars
The books follow individual users of magic who all escape a terrible system of slavery and sacrifice painted as religion.
Slowly, they find each other and team up (working up to the grand finale).
So far, there are seven books for you to enjoy, and the first one is free:

A SPFBO judge reviewed Amiant Soul as "An epic fantasy without needing to be a trilogy. Every character is superbly written and I was totally invested in every one of them.... I gave this book 5 stars - I loved it to bits and I can see it being a constant reread in the future."
Unfortunately that judge wasn't the judge who had Amiant Soul in their batch, and it's out of the running.

OK, that's a wrap on my #SPFBO #SPFBOX haiku project. I read the opening parts of all 300 entries and composed an inelegant, silly haiku about each of them. Took me a month, about 2 hours/day. I so enjoyed reading from everyone's stories. They're here:

It's my day to host an author game for the Indie Fantasy Addicts Summer Reading Challenge on Facebook. Like my last couple times doing this, I made a stupid browser video game, this time out of the characters from my #SPFBOX entry, The Glorious and Epic Tale of Lady Isovar. If you like, see if you can knock me off the high score list. The books in the game are all indie fantasy from various authors as well.
