Today will be my first group ride with the Sons of Technology (https://www.meetup.com/sons-of-technology/) since before the COVID-19 pandemic. I didn’t ride AT ALL during that time.
My wife made an insightful point: there were no ER beds anywhere in Austin. If I went down and needed to go to a hospital, she couldn’t even come see me. Worse, I ran the risk of infection.
I didn’t start riding again until well after I was vaccinated.
